Fighting For Justice Banquet
For the last twenty-five years, MALSA has held an annual banquet honoring an individual or organization that works to advance the cause of justice for the Hispanic/Latino community. The Fighting for Justice Banquet (FFJ) is held in the spring semester and it draws the attendance of numerous judges, attorneys, students, and dignitaries from across the state of New Mexico.
However, the Fighting for Justice Banquet for Spring 2021 is CANCELLED due to COVID-19 restrictions.
As many of you know, the Fighting for Justice Banquet is our largest fundraiser. The money raised helps us fund several scholarships, events throughout the year, and cover our operating expenses.
Through your donations, MALSA also started a scholarship for incoming 1L students who do not qualify for Federal Student Aid. MALSA was the first UNMSOL student organization to do so, and with your help we can make it happen, again!
Currently, we have a fundraising goal of $5,000 for the 2021-2022 school year, and we would greatly appreciate your support!
Our New Mexico legal community allows MALSA to thrive year after year.
